Often times we think about hiring a landscaper to come in and help us get the initial start in our yard or other properties. They are also great for helping with upkeep.

Several years ago many of my siblings left home for different reasons and my dad had this huge yard with tons of yard work. He was overwhelmed and luckily for awhile several of us came back and helped. For over twenty years he had nine children who could help him around the yard and so he had all kinds of yard to take care of. From mowing the lawn to weeding the garden to all of the different planters that had weeds and had to be cleaned up.

Then he had a sandbox that we had to go out and rake and pull the weeds out of. The list went on and there was enough work for nine of us to do all day Saturday's. When we all left the house he decided that it was time to reevaluate his landscaping and do something different that he could manage. He hired a landscaper to come in and help him make all of the changes. He ended up with an amazing landscape that didn't require much work.

Besides doing that he realized that there would still be work that needed to be done so he hired a landscaper that would come in every other week and take care of the weeds and some of the yard work. He was able to take care of mowing the lawn and other basics, but between all of the changes he found it was nice and easy to manage his yard.
